Property Transfer Inspection Requirements

  1. Name, address, and phone number of the current owner
  2. An as-built (a schematic drawing of the septic system's locations) If King County does not have an as-built on file one will need to be procured from a septic design firm. We can check with King County for you, but a parcel number is helpful
  3. Determine if all components(septic lids, pump tank lids, distribution boxes, and alarm boxes) are uncovered. Otherwise digging charges will be incurred.
  4. Running water with hose reaching the septic system is necessary for a "stress test" which is required for certain systems.
  5. Someone MUST be onsite to accept the paperwork. Paperwork filed with King County may not be available immediately.
  6. Property Transfer Inspections are valid for 6 months from the time of service

A note about scheduling; 8:00AM appointments are strongly recommended for property transfer inspections.
